The first ever monographic exhibition devoted to the baroque master Theodoor Rombouts (1597‐1637), the unjustly forgotten star of FlemishCaravaggism. Rombouts was an established name in the Antwerp artistic environment, but after his early death he ended up in the forgotten corner. We are now changing that. We place Rombouts in a new perspective and reveal his crucial role in genre painting, with an exhibition that promises to surprise and overwhelm.
